This program helps ex-offenders re-enter the labor market. Services and funding are available to people with a past criminal history. The program features a strong emphasis on training.
Participation in the program begins with Orientation and Job Readiness classes. Through this, you will learn whether the FIT program is right for you. If you decide that it is, you will be matched with a Case Manager who will work with you one-on-one throughout your program. With your Case Manager, you will identify a job goal and then establish a plan to work toward that goal. This will often include a scholarship for tuition to attend vocational school and become equipped for the job, supportive services and employment related needs.
The Re-entry Initiative Program may be the perfect tool to help you start a new chapter in your life and get back into the workforce.
How to Apply
The first step is to attend an Orientation. As of now, Orientations are held for the Re-entry Initiative Program every Monday and Tuesday at 8:30am at 1931 Stella Lake Drive, Las Vegas, NV. This is just southwest of the corner of Martin L. King and Lake Mead Blvd. Be sure you are on time because the doors close when Orientation starts. Entry is first come, first served and spaces are limited so come early! You do not need to bring anything with you to attend an Orientation.
