NV Energy funded a grant that paid the tuition for 3 people to become Forklift Operators and 1 to become a Certified Logistics Technician, 2 to achieve OSHA certification, 1 to become a Certified Nursing Assistant and a partial scholarship for 1 Automotive Technology student.

US Bank provided financial support for FIT’s Self-Sufficiency Empowerment Project. We will be able to leverage the US Bank grant with other federal funds and, through this, move 77 southern Nevadans from underemployment and unemployment into a new job sector that pays a self-sufficient wage.
