Civitas Laurel Award Honorees
Jeff and Fafie Moore have built their lives around entrepreneurship, community leadership, family, and a steadfast commitment to helping others succeed.
In 1989, they moved to Las Vegas with a dream of building a real estate company and creating a life rooted in community. At the time, they had never lived in Southern Nevada and didn’t know a single person. Like so many who have come to Las Vegas seeking opportunity, they embraced their new hometown with optimism, determination, and the belief that success begins with getting involved.
Starting with a single office, they combined Fafie’s expertise in business development with Jeff’s 20 years of management experience in the automotive industry to build one of the region’s most successful real estate companies. Together, their complementary strengths became the foundation of their success.
Their company grew from one Las Vegas office into a multi-state operation with offices across Nevada and five additional states. In 2016, they sold the business—now ERA Brokers Consolidated.
Their entrepreneurial success has always gone hand in hand with a deep commitment to serving others. When Fafie met FIT founders, Janet and Andy, she became inspired by their vision of helping Southern Nevadans achieve economic independence through meaningful employment.
Together, Jeff and Fafie launched and hosted FIT’s annual golf tournament, which for many years raised critical funding while significantly expanding awareness of the organization’s life-changing work. Their support reflects a lifelong belief in the value of learning a skill, the dignity of meaningful work, and creating opportunities that empower others to succeed.
Over the years, the Moores have generously supported numerous nonprofit organizations, including JDRF, Habitat for Humanity, Go Red for Women, various veterans’ organizations, and Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Family remains at the center of everything they do. Jeff and Fafie are proud parents of three children and grandparents to eight grandchildren and three beloved granddogs. They continue to call Las Vegas home, where their legacy of business leadership, philanthropy, and community service continues to make a lasting impact.
